‘A Feeling of Helplessness’: Protesters Take to the Streets in Hong Kong

Protests broke out in Hong Kong against the Chinese government’s new security law that was designed to stamp out anti-government demonstrations.

I think mostly it’s a feeling of helplessness. But the other thing is that because the national security law is so wrong that whatever you do, you won’t — you will be charged. So I don’t think people should fear too much about it because the thing is that I do think freedom is how we act it out. It’s not given by the government of our people. We have to act on our freedom.
