Coronavirus: Pakistan closes border with Iran over Covid-19 virus fears

Tehran announced eight deaths from the novel coronavirus.

Pakistan on Sunday announced it was closing its border with neighbouring Iran, after Tehran announced eight deaths from the novel coronavirus.

“We have closed our border with Iran because of the reports of coronavirus there,” said Ayesha Zehri, a senior government official in Pakistan’s southwestern Balochistan’s province, which borders Iran.
